Master's Baptist College - A Tuition Free Baptist Bible College
Mentoring for Ministry
Since the express purpose of Master's Baptist College is to equip men and women for Christian service, those who seek admission must consider the need for personal discipline in their Christian walk with the Lord. Following the Master's plan of education requires dedication of purpose, a willingness to learn, and a desire to know the will of God.
Admission to MBC is on an individual basis. We carefully consider many factors in the evaluating process. Students must be at least 18 years of age to attend. Enrollment at Masters is not limited by race, sex, or national origin.
Because the cost of tuition is underwritten by members of Fargo Baptist Church, a teachable spirit, humble attitude, and a desire to learn and serve is highly esteemed and expected.
Criteria for Admission
Homeschool Requirements
Master's welcomes the applications of homeschoolers. Homeschool students must meet the Criteria for Admission, including some form of transcript and an outline of extracurricular activities. Transcripts should include the course of study and grades, if possible.
Transfer Students
MBC accepts transfer students and grants credit for previous college-level work on an individual basis. A student who was dismissed or suspended from a college for disciplinary reasons must submit a letter of explanation and circumstances involved.
Church Membership
If a student is transferring from out of the area, his church membership may remain in his home church for the first quarter of the first year as a trial period for both student and MBC. If the student is committed to remaining at MBC for the remainder of his education, his membership will be evaluated for transfer to Fargo Baptist Church.
Standard of Conduct
By making application to MBC the student agrees to conduct himself in a manner consistent with the moral, ethical, and spiritual standards of Biblical Christianity as set forth in the Scriptures.
Church Attendance: Faithful church attendance at all Fargo Baptist Church services is required unless providentially hindered.
Attire: MBC students are required to wear proper attire to all classes.
See handbook for further details.
Grading Policy
Students must maintain passing grades to continue their education at Master's. The grading scale is as follows: A = 94-100, B = 86-93, C = 78-85, D = 70-77, F = 69 and below.
Class Attendance and Tardiness
In order to receive a passing grade, students are required to attend class at least 75% of the time. If a student is hindered from attendance during a quarter through unforeseen circumstances, some type of make-up work over the summer will be arranged. Entering a classroom after the commencement of the class will be considered tardiness. Three times tardy will count as an absence.
Additional Expenses
Tuition at Master's is free, but the student should consider the following personal costs of his education:
Missions Trip
Sometime during, or shortly after the three-year program, students are required to visit a foreign mission field at their own expense (approx. $1250) to co-labor with a missionary for a minimum of one week. This cost can be achieved by setting aside $35/month for the duration of their education.
A student's diploma will not be signed until the missions trip is taken, although the student may participate in the graduation ceremony beforehand.
Books
Students are required to purchase their own books and work on building a personal library.
Computer
A laptop computer is strongly recommended. MBC will gladly provide guidance in the purchase of a laptop.
MBC reserves the right to expel or suspend any student for violating school policies.
